About me
Hello... We are family of 5 with Adam (Papa), Melanie (Mama), twins Max & Lukas (31.03.13) and our youngest son Henry (18.11.2014) living in Nürnberg, Germany. My husband Adam works in Munich and I'm currently studying to be a teacher and will begin work in September 2018. As our days are normally fully packed, we are looking for an AuPair who can support with the children before and after school. We have found it to be stressful not having a 'Backup' plan when the boys are ill, the kindergarten calls and my husband is in Munich and I'm in Uni. The responsibilities of the AuPair would be limited and manageable, as all of the children are in the Kindergarten until 3pm. I have also been an AuPair, so I understand how it feels to live in a different country, in different surrounding and understand what may be challenging. We are an open and fun-loving family which needs support and we understand that an AuPair will also want to discover Germany, meet new friends and learn the language. We will try our best to give as much freedom and flexibility.
We live in Nürnberg which is a beautiful, historic town with lots of opportunities to meet people and enjoy the cultural activities on offer. Munich - The Bavarian Capital, is only 1.5 ours away and a simple train connection. Our usual week consists of the children being at Kindergarten from 8am - 3pm and then we normally do something with them in the afternoon (playground, sports, meeting friends etc.) My husband commutes to Munich daily by train, 5 days a week for work. Adam is from the UK (Newcastle) and I'm from Germany (Nürnberg), so the children are raised bi-lingual.
General Duties
During the week the AuPair will have to support with getting the children ready, and depending on my schedule, bring them to kindergarten which is within walking distance. We also have a Cleaning Lady who come once a week, but we will require support with minor housework.
Living
You will be provide with your own bedroom.
